New Zealand has established themselves as a highly competitive cricket side, performing well in the Cricket World Cup on a consistent basis. While they have yet to win the competition, they have reached the final on several occasions, including in 2015 and 2019, where they finished second.

The cricket squad of New Zealand is recognised for their battling spirit, perseverance, and ability to punch above their weight. Despite having a lower population than India, they have continuously produced outstanding players who have excelled on the world scene.

Kane Williamson, one of the top hitters in the world across all formats, is among the players in New Zealand's batting squad. Other important batters, such as Ross Taylor and Martin Guptill, give steadiness and power-hitting capabilities.

Talented fast bowlers like Trent Boult, Tim Southee, and Lockie Ferguson, who can provide swing, seam, and pace, are part of their diverse bowling assault. Additionally, they have competent spinners like Mitchell Santner and Ish Sodhi who are useful in middle overs.

New Zealand is renowned for their efficient and disciplined fielding, which is a key factor in their success. They are a well-trained and strategically adept group that can adjust to many circumstances.

New Zealand is frequently regarded as a strong contender in the tournament, owing to their recent performances in the Cricket World Cup and their consistent competitiveness in limited-overs cricket. They have a well-balanced team with talented players across the board. New Zealand have many games before the World Cup to prepare with 3 T20 games against the United Arab Emirates away. They then go to England to play 4 T20 games against England with another 4 ODI games against them. After that, they head to Bangladesh to play 3 ODI games against them.
